My mother is visiting and wants to find some good tamales. She bought some from the Fiesta supermarket but they were pretty disappointing -- dry and bland.

Where is a good place to go to get authentic TASTY tamales?

Thanks!

If you have some time one day (any time of the year) Head over to Llano area and hit up Tamale King restaurant ... best Tamales in Central Texas... and can compete with most of the Valley's tamales as well.... (Grew up in Harlingen and Mission then moved to Marble Falls in HS and San Marcos for college, now Austin). Food there is great and you can also order tamales to go and pick up. Might even see Jordan Shipley or Stephen McGee as they are close friends to the owner (seen them on several occasion recently and in the past)
