Plus I would go to warehouse parties that would end at 4am.
I was used to partying in New Orleans until the morning. Nothing like walking down Bourbon St. when the sun came up then taking a streetcar over to Camelia Grill to get an omelette for breakfast before crashing for the night

Well NoLa is on another level. Only Vegas and NYC match it. That's it for cities in the US. Maybe Miami? But I do remember going to parties is ATX that last pretty darn late.

But what about SXSW? ACL? That has the push the place open til the early morn.

Miami Beach has clubs that never close. Party on the beach in the day and clubs at night then crash on the beach and sleep off the hangover in the sun with occasional dips in the ocean.

Late Night Service - Capital Metro - Austin Public Transit
Oh. I didn't know that. Ever since I quit drinking I stopped keeping up with nightlife downtown. When I was drinking, the last # 10 bus to South 1st and Wm Cannon left 7th and Colorado Street at midnight on Friday nights and around 11 on Tues weds and thurs. I use to conversate about it with different people and the only response I got from most people was the busses weren't there to haul drunks around. I felt like drinking and bars are big part of the culture in Austin and everybody would be safer if the drinkers would be encouraged to take a bus home rather than drive home after a night of drinking. I thought it was just a common sense solution to a major problem. People being humans, theres alot of people who don't have 20 dollars left after a night of drinking for a cab ride home. So, no bus, no cab, they will just be extra careful and drive home. It'll be ok. I mean, that's the way a lot of people think and rationalize after they've been drinikng.

I'm real glad to hear that Austin does have late night bus service for the late night drinkers. More proof that Austin keeps getting better. Thanks for filling me in.
