Wholy Bagel is still the only local place I know of in Austin that makes real bagels.

There are two locations, one on South Lamar and the other is on Bee cave Rd. You gotta go man. Oh, and there are no preservatives so they get hard if you leave them in the bag overnight. I cut them and freeze um for the toaster in the morning.
Call me a cynic, but this looks suspiciously like a post by the guy or gal that owns the Bruegger's franchise here in town. Commenting on a post that is over two years old, it reads like an advertisement and it's the posters ONLY post?

Bagel Oasis ships, but I don't know how much that costs.

Texas water is too hard for proper bagel or pizza. Maybe these guys should open up here? Brooklyn Water Bagels | It's All About the Water!

What are lox? I've heard of 'em on tv, but I've never seem 'em anywhere. Until I seen the word "lox" in this thread, I thought lox was plural. So lox is actually an "it", instead of a "them"? It still sounds plural.

It's basically smoked salmon. And it's singular - like fox.
