Default attractions in hill country

Ok my MIL is coming for her first visit. we are trying to fill our time with some touristy/attractions type things. any ideas: we have one more day to fill . we are going to san antonio for a day and were going to a cave. but didnt know what else someone might recommend?

Does she like shopping? If so, she'll probably love Fredericksburg. It's basically a long main street full of every imaginable type of tourism shopping. There are also lots of restaurants and you can walk around with a beer or wine. I'm not too enamored with it but I know it's very popular. If she's the outdoorsy type, Enchanted Rock is close by and is definitely worth the hike or at least a drive by. Of course, that's best done when it's not hot.
