Default IT or Computer Graphics in Austin

Hello all.

I am very excited to be moving to Austin in a few months (from Dallas) as my wife has been presented with a job opportunity with her company there. Only problem is it means I will have to find another job. I have been in IT for a while and done everything from Net Admin in the Marine Corps to Help Desk for an Wireless ISP here in Dallas. I love the field and hear that Austin is a great place for a person with my skills so I was just hoping to get some leads in the IT or Computer Animation or Game Art and Design fields (will be finishing my BA in Game design /Computer animation within the next year or so). If any one has any suggestions of how to proceed in Austin I would greatly appreciate your feed back.

Thank you

Default Texas bound

I am also trying to get to the Austin area. I am in IT also, however, I lost my job here in NJ. Some sites I use to locate jobs are: dice.com, careerbuilders.com, monster.com, craigslist.com, usagov.com and it is a frustrating, but I do get to talk with some people at times.

If you have not tried this, give it a try, nothing to lose! I will keep you in my list while I search for jobs as well.

My wife and I had it with New Jersey. My daughter lives in Killeen as husband is in ARMY. So, I don't mind work in the Killeen, Ft. Hood, Temple, Harker Heights. All OK, as I want to get to Texas.

Good luck.
