I have found that UT-Austin has an evening and executive MBA program.
I think I also saw a billboard with an ad for a Baylor University MBA offered
in Austin. Does anyone know of any other university (including out of state)
that offers a part time MBA in Austin?

Also, any comments on UT's evening MBA program? I have heard that it is
pretty intense since they don't even allow a summer break and it goes
on for eight continuous semesters, so much for supporting working
professionals!

I went to St. Edward's University and they have an excellent MBA program for working professionals: Master of Business Administration (MBA): St. Edward's University

A ton of major universities (Florida, etc.) offer a distance learning MBA. you get the exact same diploma that those that sit in class do.

My old boss did the UT executive MBA. She spent many a night up till 3 or 4 am doing work. I think it was a FRI & SAT every other week.

We recently had the McCombs School of business at our hotel. They were up til the wee hours of the morning doing some pretty hard core studying. They were pretty positive about the course.

The pedigree of your MBA is really critical. If you run an analysis of the return on an MBA, they really arent worth it. You really need to go to a top 20 if not a top 10 or top 5 school

The workload at UT Evening MBA is better than the full time program, but it is still intense.

I agree. MBAs are more about networking opportunities and being part of a club more than its education. It's not referred to as a Master Bull**** Artist for nothing.

The coursework for MBAs is intellectually easy compared to that of a scholarly degree, and the material can be pretty easily learned solo through casual reading and studying.
