GodsaveAmerica,

I am a former NYC resident who moved to the Austin area 9 years ago. I also live in Pflugerville, by the two toll roads. I've lived here for 7 years and I agree with LoveRoses - Pf is a good, safe place to live that is still relatively affordable. It has it all and is only getting better. What it doesn't have is public transportation, so you better make sure you have a car.

The apartment stock in Pf I dont' know much about because most people tend to live in SF homes. I do know that a new complex is going up in the rapidly growing NE section where I live. It is in the Stone Hill Town Center shopping complex and from what I've seen, it looks very very nice -- granite counters, wood floors, large swimming pool, fitness center. The plus side for this complex is that it is in a very good location -- next to two major (toll) roads and it is in a shopping center, so major shopping is all around you within walking distance. A park is supposed to be built around there as well. Google "Stone Hill Town Center" to get an idea as to what stores are there and what will be coming. The shopping there is first rate and very nice and convenient. I really love our location. I just think you get good value for your dollar in Pflugerville.

Yes, that's one of the Communities that I was referring, there is another one being built in New Braunfels as well as one in Hutto. They are all managed by the same company and only the community in Hutto had negative reviews. ( I made a mistake in a previous post referencing this to New Braunfels but it was the Hutto complex ).
