Based on experience, you'll get it back almost immediately. You can help it along by stopping for some BBQ and a Shiner Bock on your way into town.

I know a good BBQ dinner and REAL margarita will help get my accent back!

Hope you have a nice visit!

I bet your accent is back immediately like OpenD says. You probably won't even notice it.

Something funny that I do without noticing... I have lived in Boston, Australia and now London. And when I am hanging out with friends and run into and talk to someone from those places, my friends afterwords always make fun of me because I always somehow slip into those accents when talking to them. I don't even notice it until my friends tell me. It is really weird. lol.

I have experienced this, too. I have clients that are Scottish, and after 10 minutes on the phone with them, I start talking like them - it is all very subconscious, and I worry that they will think I am somehow making fun of them :P.
