Probably pretty decent lines until the novelty wears off and everyone realizes that it's just fast food.

Agreed, but it's on the "fresher ingredients" side of fast food. The novelty will take a couple years to wear off I think as people will be driving there from all areas of Austin unless they quickly open up more locations.

Putting it right there in that shopping center next to the Outlet mall and across from Ikea will be interesting for parking. Hopefully they account for long drive through lines, but I'm pretty confident that they will. In-N-Out is a good company that takes care of its employees. It's one of the few fast food places that puts quality service up there with quality fast food and I think that sets it apart a bit. They typically have the same type of employees that you'll see working at the Rudy's counter (ie. They're well spoken and concentrate on getting your order right the first time as opposed to what you get at Wendy's or Burger King).

Well, it is a step above but I think Mighty Fine and P. Terry's are better.

Tried the one in Las Vegas - meh, very average.

Tried the one in Las Colinas - the burger was very average, the fries inedible (threw them away).

Will stick to Whataburger for fast food.

Despite my husbands underwhelming review you know I'm gonna have to give it a try anyway, since it'll be practically in my backyard

The fries seem to be a love 'em or hate 'em thing. I'm in the thumbs down camp.

Eh, must vary by location (and personal preference). The Mighty Fine down south and P Terry's have never impressed me, but I'm really not a big fan of burgers to begin with. Animal style fries and a chocolate shake, on the other hand, and we're cooking.
