My son will be a graduate student at TX State San Marcos, starting at the end of August. He is looking on his own for housing, but I thought I'd ask if any one on C-D has insight/leads/suggestions. He will have a car, but he wants to "commute" as little as possible.

He is probably already aware of these, but I'll toss them out there in case he is not. Some of the single room units would probably be good for a grad student.

There are so many apartments in San Marcos that are on the shuttle route. I would look into them. He could easily get a 2 bedroom and a roommate (maybe another grad student) and spend less than he would to live on campus.
