Nice.

They deserve worse. Close down local thru fares for one person? Ridiculous! Only thing north/south of the river was 35 or mopac. Closed dtown roadways during rush hour, then had the nerve to deny pedestrians access to the prez on public streets? APD guilty too for maintaining private access only to those paying to see a public official? He is supposed to raise millions while in austin but wont even carry the state in the election. I wont b voting for him again. Or the other guy either

Very disappointed and angry. Cant wait til they get out!

This always happens for the president. I've seen worse. When I lived in LA, they would shut down the 10 and 405. Talk about a traffic jam. It is just part of the deal with dealing with a president. It has been this way for all presidents because there are crazy stupid people out there that want to do crazy stupid things.

The people who complain anytime the news reports he is going anywhere. Would you rather him take a cab? Walk? Take a bus to the event? I don't think they will take that chance anywhere after Kennedy, even if it is Austin.

Agreed..............happens for whomever is President, or running for President. Had to wait for an Al Gore motorcade in Palm Beach on the only road in and out of the area while he was feted at a gazillonaire attorney's house (who made his money suing the tobacco companies.) Anyway, that is just part and parcel for the POTUS, and those running for the job. Usually it's a minor inconvenience that doesn't last too long.

BTW,the sign is / was great!

The Clinton's stay in Austin at one of their friends house near mine pretty often. It always causes a bit of a mess. And when Bush Sr left office and retired to Houston he moved near my Grandmother and they put up gates and all that and it became a bit of a pain.

We are Americans, and that is part of the cost of living in the US. There are people inside and out of the US that want to do harm. Leaders and former leaders of the Free World are targets for lots of crazies out there. No one could do that job with out pissing some wacko off. Hell, no one could do that job without pissing off plenty of perfectly sane people. lol
