Is it worth spending the extra money to get reserved seats?

It's only $2 extra, right? If you're someone who wants to sit in the primo seats but who doesn't like to arrive early it seems like a decent option.

It's the only way if you don't want to sit in the worst seats of the theater.

Time is money, you can skip the 1hr waits, etc. So for 2 bucks, I think it's worth it.

If you need a laugh, check out the Alamo's blog, and scroll down into the comments. Loom for the guy with the rant gun in full auto, going on about how allowing people to pay more to avoid the line is "catering to the 1%", etc. How Austin is turning from "Mecca for the misfits", etc.

What's the big deal? Extra twelve minutes of wrapping those egg mcmuffins and you are good to go.

That's for sure!

We went today to see a movie that's been out for a bit, paid the extra money since I hadn't been to the Alamo Drafthouse in the summer when school's out, and had the only 2 reserved seats in the place.

I guess, for the price of a latte, I had peace of mind we wouldn't be sitting up front.

If you want to see say The Dark Knight or some other hot movie opening weekend it's the only way not to be in the front row.
