Does anyone have any experience with Jackie's or know anyone who has? I am seriously considering sending my 3 year old there in the Fall and would like to get other parent's opinions on it. It seems to offer a lot of electives that we do not see at other pre-schools. Thanks in advance for your comments!

If appropriate, you might need to restate your question another way, or see if another forum is more suitable to your needs (not saying it is in this case) or try something else.

But bumping your own post just to keep it up is frowned on.
Matter of fact, it's a TOS violation, although I don't think anybody will call in a drone strike on you because of it. But, you know, it's just best not to go there.

Look for reviews at Great Schools (google and then select Austin schools, then look for Jackie's), there will be multiple reviews.

good luck!

I'd personally be wary of a place that lets parents know on Saturday that they're closing on Monday. Yeah, they got a reprieve from closing at the last minute but usually that just delays the closing. It's something to seriously consider. It'll be next to impossible to find a new daycare on short notice if they do close down for good.

We are talking Jackie's Gymnastics and day care, right? On Manchaca Rd.
10 years ago, we had to take my daughter out of there. She would come home with bruises each day, and never got a straight answer.

The final straw was when my wife got a call and had to take off work and close the store, go pick my daughter up during the day. We then found out why all the bruises. They were having troubles restraining her. She was 3 years old and restrained when my wife got there.

Took her to Abiding Love and never ever had an issue no more busing. Some days the teacher would let us know our daughter got bored easy, so they made it fun and she worked it out.

I went to Jackie's when I was really young. It was pretty good from what I remember.
