Default cleaning services for yucky jobs?

Hi, anyone have any recos for someone or a service to clean out a garage, a shed, things like that? I don't think a regular cleaning service does this and these spaces haven't seen the light of day in decades - it's for an elderly friend who hasn't even set foot out there in years. There will be lots of dust, probbaly bugs or animal droppings, leaves...

That's a tough one. If there is ANY chance of valuable items being among the 'stuff', I'd shy away from the 'junk haulers'. Many just load the items on a truck and you can be sure the valuable things are kept(by them). IF that's the arrangement, all is well; but I wouldn't trust any stranger to sort through a garage or storage area if I couldn't be there to supervise.

There was one church-based group specializing in down-sizing when we were de-cluttering our aunt's house; but we wanted to handle it on our own. It is a pretty emotional project unless you just say "It's all junk, just toss it!" Seems like the church-connected group had branches throughout Texas...can't think of the name. I think their main focus was moving folks from houses to assisted-living facilities and the like.

I would imagine either of those groups would have folks experienced in garages and sheds, but at what cost?

Good luck! I could lend a hand if it becomes a 'friend helping neighbor' type of project.
