I live in Georgetown and am looking for a good seafood restaurant in the Georgetown/Round Rock area. Any suggestions? I love Pappadeaux, but don't always want to drive to Austin. Saltgrass is good too, but was hoping there was a gem out there that I haven't discovered.

Wildfire is not exclusively seafood, but they have some seafood dishes.
Monument Cafe has a fish of the day dish.
Bob's Catfish n More is tucked away down by San Gabriel Park.
Louisiana Longhorn Cafe in Round Rock is always tasty, in my experience.
A lot of folks are fond of
Gumbo's. I'm not so much, but that's because I remember them when they were first in business before they were sold and went all upscale rather than feeling like you were in a actual New Orleans restaurant. Looks like they're moving the Round Rock location.

Glad you liked that.
When I lived in that area the original Gumbo's was a favorite of mine too. I even followed the founding husband and wife team after they sold out, to their little place near Parmer. That came to such a sad end.
In any case, I think French Quarter will do very well in that location.

Thank you for all of the suggestions! Can't wait to get out and try a few. Definitely going to try Louisiana Longhorn Cafe, the menu sounds fabulous. Totally forgot about Fish City Grille right here in Georgetown, definitely need to give it a try.
