We recently moved from SW Austin to Cedar Park. I realize that this area is not Austin, so I can't compare the restaurants options between the two, but I wanted to see if anyone had any favorites in the area or recommendations.

Aside from the occasional downtown Austin dining, we used to frequent the following places. These were our "go-to" eateries. Any ideas would be great.

Mandola's Italian Market - Great atmosphere for families and great food. Any good Italian up here?

Torchy's Taco's - I heard they are coming to CP and RR in 2013, but until then, any alternatives?

Galaxy Cafe - This is sort of a unique place, not sure if there is anything comparable up here?

Madam Mam's Thai Food - Any good Thai?

Tarka - Found it in RR!

Mighty Fine - Found it in CP!

Rudy's/Saltlick -Found in RR!

Big list for Round Rock here:

Round Rock Restaurants: Check out 155 restaurants, with 1,133 reviews

Also there is a decent Z-Tejas at the intersection of Parmer Lane & Avery Ranch.

Plus a Waterloo Ice House.

Try moonies hamburgers great place. Either local is great the new location on Anderson mill has shakes, the old location does not. Jardin Corona id pretty good Mexican but the CP location is a bit trashy but still go. Rosies cafe in 1890 ranch is good cheap mexican food. I have heard good things about Reunion Grille next to the hospital. Pretty good breakfast at 1431Cafe. J &J bbq/ taco at 183 old and 1431 is a pretty good deal also. Welcome to the area

Absolutely no Italian in Cedar Park.
Southern's and Rialto Pizza are good pizza places in CP/Leander
Jardin Corona is pretty good. Mi Guadalajara, La Adelita, La Michoacana, La Canasta are good lil' taquerias
Daichi is pretty good sushi. Thamnak Thai was good when I went there.
Torchy's Tacos is on 620 on Austin/CP border and is open. Always felt they were way too expensive for their food. Would much rather go to one of the taquerias above.

Head to Georgetown for Monument Cafe and Wildfire.

Gumbo's in Round Rock has moved, but French Quarter (from French Quarter Grille) has opened in that location on 620, I just learned to my delight, and Louisiana Longhorn is in downtown Round Rock.

Try Asia Cafe at 183 and Spicewood Springs.

Zed's was nice enough when we visited about a year ago. It was clean, a bit upscale I suppose, with a nice patio area for days that don't reach 103 degrees . Sort of a non-southwestern Z Tejas feel, perhaps.

Bellini's near Parmer/1431 took a few months to get things running smoothly, but most folks have been pleased lately. Nice folks...

Rudino's in 1890 Ranch isn't too bad with its "Italian" grinders. Rosa's Tortilla Factory, Fuzzy's taco shop both in Cedar park along 1431 as well as Taco Shack (horrible hours at this location) and Freebird's in Round Rock along 1431 are pretty good for tacos/burritos. A Dos Salsas is being built right across from 1890 Ranch like the one in Georgetown.

Moonie's on old 183 is much better than Mighty Fine in my opinion. I even prefer burgers at Waterloo Ice House in Avery Ranch over Mighty Fine. Freddy's Frozen Custard in 1890 Ranch is our go to fast food burger around here. Gigi's cupcakes is in 1890 Ranch as well.

And I agree that the food at Bellini's is good, but the service was still lacking a bit when I went there about 3 weeks ago. I think it turned out to be a much busier Sunday night than they expected.

There is a Torchy's a block away from the Cedar Park southern border at 620 and Anderson Mill.
