Let's just go a step further and say no to care for cancer and pediatric disorder patients while we're at it! Yea! Why should I have to pay for some stranger's chemo? Not my fault your wife needs a mastectomy!

/sarcasm

Is this post a joke?

Pretty sure cancer isn't an elective condition. Pregnancy is.

There are an awful lot of personal choices that result in medical conditions. Rather slippery slope to begin parsing through a list of what should be covered. I don't smoke. Should my premiums go toward lung cancer treatment for those who did? I work hard to keep fit and have no history of heart disease. Should I be exempt from paying for those who need angioplasty due to too many Big Macs? See how that works?

I don't think it's a good idea to limit coverage. Soon enough, most everyone may need a treatment or procedure that they may have never anticipated ... including pregnancy. That's the point of paying for medical insurance. We all pay in and then take out when needed. I'm pleased that our new healthcare laws provide broad coverage for all and we don't even need to have this conversation any longer.

There's some serious trolling bull$h!t that goes on in these forums, but this post might take the cake.
