All I see there is the testimony of some other busted cheaters. Was it under oath? Was the testimony collected legally? These questions would have to be answered if this was actually tried in any sort of real court. With Roger Clemens, they had testimony just like this, plus circumstantial evidence... And he got off, and even played with a minor league team a week ago...

I wonder what they'll rename the Lance Armstrong Bikeway to
Maybe the "Lance Armstrong 'up yours' Bikeway" would be good...

I ride on it once a week during organized rides. Interesting that the folks leading the ride refer to it as the L-A-B, as opposed to the Lance Armstrong Bikeway. Curious acronym, given the circumstances. LAB....get it?

Bah-dum-bump!
I'm here all week!

Former teammates detail doping charges against Armstrong in... | www.statesman.com

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/10/11/sp...pagewanted=all

With Testimony of Leipheimer and Hincapie it's pretty hard to believe this is all a conspiracy against Armstrong.

In my casual conversations with people who are not particularly into sports but are aware of the controversy, just average folks, and the consensus among them seems to be...

"Leave the name alone. The guy is a champion, and a winner, and his triumph over cancer and his leadership in the world of health and fitness makes him a hero in my eyes no matter what."

And I concur.

Yep, his Cancer foundation will be the only thing to counter-attack the doping charges for him. If not for that, his name would be ****.

Kind of funny, though.....pretty much every cyclist that he raced with and against has confessed to using drugs and testified against him...meaning, I guess, that it really was a level playing field .

No question that it was and perhaps still is pervasive...doesn't mean it should be countenanced. Cheating is cheating even if "everyone's doing it". Can't reward the most successful cheat.
