Hi All,

Sadly I've had to leave Austin

For a while I had some friends living at my condo but now I need to rent it out. I figured I should go through an agent now, and so the search for one starts.

Does anyone have any advice on finding the right Realtor? I've started googling things like
Austin Apartment Finder
Austin Condos Rent
And it's interesting to see that the results are significantly different! What do you normally put into a search engine when you're looking for a condo?

What should I be looking for; is it too much to expect/hope for the agent to be able to work 100% on-line, as I'm not longer in Texas? Or one with 78704/SoCo knowledge?

Thanks in advance. Any advice appreciated.
~Tyler

It will depend on where your condo is located. If downtown, I'd work with one of the downtown Brokers. If it's a student area, such as Far West, Campus, Hyde Park, etc, I'd work with a campus locator company. If it's just a standard residential condo in a normal residential neighborhood, and good leasing Realtor can list and lease it for you. Just make sure you hire someone able to conduct the proper credit/background checks. Most likely a Brokerage that also does Property Management in-house and deals with tenants and leases every day.

Good luck.

Steve
