Another thing I enjoyed about taking that cruise is that it was just nice to go out on the deck and watch the lights from town disappear and get fresh air and just look out at the ocean.

Like someone stated there is an Indian One in Eagle Pass near LAredo.I think it is the only Indian casino in the state of Texas?

Further north you can go to Oklahoma ,but it is a long drive closer to Dallas

and further east there is Lake Charles in Louisiana,Harrah's in New Orleans and Biloxi,Miss has gambling.

Yeah closest would be at Port Aransas the cruise ship. Not expensive at all especially during the summer, FUN! day cruise and night cruise. Specials on Tuesday. Look online.
