I'm not sure if it's still there or not, I think it is though, but in Aransas Pass/Corpus Christi area, there is a gambling cruise. My grandpa took me on it a few years back and it was actually pretty neat. Or, like neddy says, Louisiana has them. There is also a racetrack (horses) in North Houston. You might also check Galveston for a gambling cruise.

There is a casino in Eagle Pass, Texas, a border town SW of San Antonio. My friend just won $2000.00 there about a month ago, playing slots.

Its a darn shame that Texas doesn't have more casinos. So many great areas in the state where casinos would go so well too.

Lake Charles, LA. Only about 4-4.5 hours away, and some of their casinos like the Isle of Capri are pretty much like Vegas.

I hope not too. Southwest has direct flights from Austin to Vegas.. not a bad flight.. you can get your fix and then come back. |
