Just got the plates this week!

Getting the driver's license this week! That's probably another thread as well. What a bunch of hoops to jump through!

hehehe...just like Mission Impossible...first the inspection(they take pay-offs, btw....remember, this is Texas, and they conveniently dollop out inspections to local mechanics who surely make payoffs themselves to get the biz in the first place)....then the title search....then the license itself....hey, it keeps local mechanics in business, keeps the local politicians in office that grant the state inspection shingle to Joe Blow the mechanic, and makes everyone happy.....keep jumpin' through those corrupt hoops, twange, and you'll be a bona-fide Texan in no time!

Twange, I thought of you last night when Leno was on. He had some jokes about The Indians beating the Yankees on Columbus day. Both teams were disappointed - the Yankees were out of the playoffs and Cleveland had to go back home.... .

Awe...I've been dissed my whole life being from that city. When will ever end (although secretly, I think the folks like the attention)

I must say though, cracking Cleveland jokes is a tad lazy on Leno's part. I mean, we're talking like 40 years now...jeez pick on another town already!

Oh you are SO WRONG on that one! BTW, how do you like those NFL standings?!?!? (couldn't resist)
I do have a question for you though...when you applied for your TX license, do you have to turn your OH ones in? I have never lived in another state, so not sure how that works.

That 3rd cartoon with the tv was pretty funny. That's how I feel at my house right now with my husband wanting a new, bigger tv than what we already have

Hey Twange, I go to Cleveland a lot (wife went to college in OH) to visit friends and it's a nice place. It was hard to admit since all I knew about the city were the jokes. It's too bad there's no economy there any longer. To be honest though, if I had to choose between Cleveland, Dallas, and Houston, I'd choose Cleveland.
