Texas Stereotypes:Cartoons
Some friends of ours from Ohio sent us these as a joke when we moved here to Austin last month. I think they are from the New Yorker magazine. Anyway I'm just passing them a long for some light humor.

Wow, I could use that in my car, except I would have to replace the snuff with something else...maybe a cell phone charger  .
As to the gunfight one, does anyone remember sheriff Boutwell (sp?) up in Williamson County? He was Sheriff for decades, and people joked (sort of ) that it was 'shoot first and ask the body questions later'.

Twange, you have only been here a month, and you seem to know more about Texas and Austinites in general than the locals themselves. Are you sure you weren't a Texan
