Talking Texas Stereotypes:Cartoons

Some friends of ours from Ohio sent us these as a joke when we moved here to Austin last month. I think they are from the New Yorker magazine. Anyway I'm just passing them a long for some light humor.

DISCLAIMER:

THESE ARE NOT TO BE TAKEN LITERALLY OR SERIOUSLY. IF YOU ARE A SENSITIVE TEXAN, PLEASE DO NOT READ!

P.S. My personal favorite is the dashboard one!

Let the bastards freeze in the dark

LOL. That pie slice fits so neatly under the gun.

Truly educational. I've never heard of dashboard organizers.

Wow, I could use that in my car, except I would have to replace the snuff with something else...maybe a cell phone charger .

As to the gunfight one, does anyone remember sheriff Boutwell (sp?) up in Williamson County? He was Sheriff for decades, and people joked (sort of ) that it was 'shoot first and ask the body questions later'.
