I am interested in opening my own simple no-frill barber shop in North-East of Austin.
I am looking for a neighborhood in hutto, pflugerville or georgetown where crime is low and community is diverse with spanish speaking families. Generally also looking for area where middle income (90k to 120k salary) families are living.
What neighborhood in these cities would you recommend me to checkout so that I have an opportunity to prosper in future and grow my business.

I recommend you spend some time checking out the City-Data community profiles, which have detailed demographic information... incomes, ethnic profiles, etc... for different communities.

Here, for instance, is the one for Pflugerville: http://www.city-data.com/city/Pflugerville-Texas.html

So out of Hutto, RoundRock and Pflugerville, which one has high potential of growing in next 3-7 years? My customer target is blue-collar workers with young family. If you guys can suggest any area or place around this town for me to check out...that would be great.

Thanks again.

Hi OpenD,
I tried that first, but it is still to general for my targeted customers. I am more looking for blue-collar, young family oriented neighborhood. I should have clarified more. Thanks

I'm slow so that took me a minute to "get" :0 Yeah, Blue Collar salary would be abt. $50-$75K and for people living paycheck to paycheck the salary could be lower, like $30k. I guess Hutto would work and Pflugerville. Round Rock is pretty big and there may be too much competition. Also you might check out Taylor and Manor.

Hi Love Roses,
Thanks for pointing out Taylor. Between Hutto and Taylor, which one is growing fast? I am planning to checkout both cities soon. Do you have suggestion for any strip mall or shopping complex where I can potentially look for retail place?
