I've been living here for 6 years and have always had a slight problem with burning/watery eyes.

But today - Oh my god. I want to gouge my eyes out right now. I can't even keep them open for more than a couple of seconds. Apparently mold is very high today.

Anyone else having problems?

I empathize. Zaditor or generic (OTC) at any drugstore. Still, when mold is high for days on end, it only takes the edge off; it's terrible.

Mold has been high for the last couple of weeks. And I have never known my mold allergy to make my eyes feel like that. It could be you have an eye infection. Go to your eye doctor and get it checked quickly. I had something like that a few years ago, it was an eye infection, not allergies.

I don't think an infection would attack both of my eyes simultaneously. It's the mold

It's the mold, you are right. It can be common for those severely allergic to mold... both my allergist and opthamologist confirmed. Recently, because of the severe eye reaction, I've suffered from light sensitivity as well even with sunglasses. Thankfully, it's lasted just two days but it was a miserable two days.

I am confounded why no one mentions the agricultural smoke smothering our area right now. Hopefully, that is what your eye issue is.

I noticed that the air pollution looked thicker than normal, but since I didn't hear anything about it from others I assumed it was nothing. What exactly happened?

If you get the Statesman, the weather section notes that the agricultural smoke from Central America will be heavy this week due to the southerly winds.
