Take a look at the crime heat map for that are, it is pretty high. Crime Map Beta - Trulia

Using google maps street view I see lots of houses with metal fences around the front yards and bars on the windows. That tells you something.

I second this. The area around Reagan High School is very rough with lots of gang activity there. The safest and best part of the 78752 area code is going to be the area west of Airport Blvd.
