We are a couple with a 3-year old girl just moved from Dallas to Austin. We are buying a house in Circle C and we love a house in Park West in Circle C. It is a gated community, we are wondering if there are anybody here know this community. Is this community family friendly? I want my daughter have fun living there! Thanks!

Hi. You might want to try Meridian which is just a mile or so south of Circle C. We just bought a house in there that we are building. They have homes ranging from 270K up to 500K and there eventually will be million dollar homes in there as well. There are tons of families moving in. It's a great community. Let me know if you need any additional info. Good luck. Oh, to answer your question, Circle C is very family friendly. My friend lives in Circle C.

The short answer is, yes, it's a great family friendly community, Circle C.

My expanded opinion on this though is that in order for your daughter to have fun, you have to have fun.

If you have fun taking her to the park to swing and play, where you'll meet other parents and kids, she'll have fun. If you have fun taking her to the pool to swim, she'll have fun. There are kid readings at libraries, jogging the stroller through the neighborhood in the mornings, informal gatherings and playgroups among neighbors, etc. All sorts of things which, if you enjoy doing, you invite fun and interaction with other kids and families into your own kids life.

So, wanting your kid to "have fun" is very achievable, but it has little to do with the home you live in or the section of Circle C in which you will reside. It's entirely up to you and how you choose to spend your time with your kid and the world you create for her.

Steve

Exclamation cancer

Along with many of my friends and neighbours, I have been concerned about the loss of cancer services
at Mount Vernon for about 5 years. We have attended lots of meetings regarding possible,
we always tried to communicate our views amongss the peoples
Now, we have a wonderful opportunity to make our views know to a wider audience
via this website and hopefully to campaign and retain these vital, local cancer services.

I lived in Circle C for 7 years, though not in gated Park West. Unless you absolutely love the house in Park West, I don't know that I would pay the extra HOA dues to live in the gated section. I didn't notice a lot of kids in that section relative to the rest of Circle C either. Circle C is one of the best family areas in SW Austin and has great AISD schools. I loved every minute of every day I lived there...my neighbors were like family to me. That is a common feel in Circle C...not just my experience.

Casting my vote with the family-friendly feel. We know our neighbors and we have had dinner and such with them and vice-versa.

Like Steve said, you do have to be willing to go out there and do things. The other nice thing about Circle C that hasn't been brought up is the proximity to the downtown area. We love Circle C, but our family likes to go out on hikes and exploring. We really love the relatively short drive to the places we like to visit.

That's actually a very important point. Those homes have a harder time on the resale market because of the higher HOA fees.
