We have 2 odd shaped fireplaces and cannot find screens anywhere that fit. We'd like something with doors, as well. Anyone know of someone that does custom work in this space around town (for a half decent price, too, ideally)? I appreciate the help!

We used Ernie's Welding at 6511 Burnet Lane to do a couple of ornamental ironwork jobs for us over the years. We've been super happy with their work, timeliness and pricing. Their number is (512) 459-6346. They are a bit rough around the edges with the interpersonal skills, so be prepared for that.

There's a company that advertises in those in-mail magazines that does just that -- I've admired their custom fireplace screens several times. I don't remember their name, but check your mail and you'll probably find it in one of those magazines.
