Default Reytex Homes

Any insight on this company? I was in Austin this past week and visited a community they have in South Austin. I was very impressed but never heard of this builder before. Please share.

Has anyone here looked into this community yet? I ended up renting upon coming to Austin, but just wondering how the community panned out. It was Meadown Lake in South Austin. The homes were spacious and inexpensive but I didn't like the garage doors and the surrounding community.

Their offices are in a building I share with them and they have been there for a long time. I have never seen anyone complaining so the operation is fine and they just recarpeted their offices so I they are not going any where! As to their products my guess is that they offer a fair value for what they charge but I have no personal experience!

We built a house by Reytex- and LOVE it. We moved in last year. My parents built a home from Reytex 4 years ago- and they also love it. This is the reason we went with them over a year ago.

We are still under warranty- but have only had them come 3 times for small things: the window, a cupboard, and a door. Easy fixes. Anyway, they are prompt and quick when the notice is sent in.

I highly recommend them!

Good luck!

I bought a spec house from Reytex 4 years ago and its build quality is decent. They are a tract builder, but many of their floorplans are good. We had a few minor issues over the 4 years, but they resolved them all without issue. Mercedes was also building in our neighborhood and my opinion is Reytex was much better in both design and quality. You should check out the houses they are building in the neighborhood because the build crews (and quality) can vary between neighborhoods.
