December Texas Monthly has an article about the public schools and how they stack up, i think you can access it online as well. Texas Monthly: the National Magazine of Texas.
they are using stats from just4kids, the premier site when it comes to evaluating your public schools.

Lake Travis High, Cedar Park High, Westlake High, Westwood High, Bowie..theres really several good ones, i graduated from Bastrop.

McCallum is off of 2222 between mopac and I35 if i'm not mistaken. It's not the best of schools in the area, but its not the worst either. Its just kinda average to below average
