I have to be in the office 4 days a week, one day a week from home. This is for a large data center. Most network infrastructure jobs like to have employees on site. Now if your husband wanted to work for Cisco TAC or something similar he could probably work remote.

You can get a very nice house in a good neighborhood in Austin for $250K.

there are multiple new technology centers opening up, IBM has one, General motors opened one, home depot even has one. Apple greatly expanded their footprint as well.

Don't forget the larger school districts have technology centers. Round Rock ISD has a pretty new one right here in my neighborhood (Brushy Creek), and we also have a number of houses in the $200K-$250K range. Exemplary rated schools too.
