I was looking into have a well drilled in my city property (great hills area). Bee caves drilling said that I lived over salt water so it wouldnt make sense to drill the well.

Does anyone have any ideas/resources/background info on this?

Why would you doubt a drilling company that tells you not to drill?

Most of Texas was covered by ocean at one time, so it would not surprise me if some of the underground aquifers are highly saline.

did I say that I doubted it?

They also mentioned that the salt dome starts at pace bend and flows northeast to my area. Just south of me it becomes fresh. It was interesting and I was just trying to learn more about it but google wasnt turning up anything easily readable.
