Default Relocation Addendum

Anyone have any comments on this?

Does this mean seller/relo company has no liability once we close?

Is getting an inspection, reviewing relo company's inspection documentation, previous owner's disclosure statement, and the seller's inspection reports/documents good enough?

I'm guessing having a good lawyer would help too.

Or should we just avoid any sale requiring a relo addendum altogether?

Thanks!

I'm not sure about your specific situation, but we were "sellers" working with a relocation company recently. It sounds like your seller's situation is similar to the way our relo company worked. We sold the house to the relo company who held it for a day or two and sold it to our buyer.

I believe that I was still on the hook for the house from the seller's disclosure perspective. I would guess that the addendum indemnifies the relo company since they never really lived in our took posssesion of the house and makes it clear that any problems with the transaction are back on the original seller.
