I am just reeling! I didn't know Larry personally, although he was a friend of friends, but his voice and his radio shows were just such a distinctive part of Austin. With his death our town just got a little bit more generic. Sigh.

Right after Sarah Elizabeth Campbell too!

I'm so glad you posted this. I left Austin in 2000 so I probably wouldn't have heard otherwise. Larry's KUT radio shows were an important part of my life for many years.
