This neighborhood is 4 miles from downtown and there are many bus routes that service the area.

Austin has the third or fourth lowest violent crime rate of cities with a similar size. But does have high property crimes, mostly petty theft, larceny.

I think the Austin weather is great 9 months of the year, including winter, we rarely ever get more than a light dusting of snow. 3 months of summer are very hot often getting into the low 100's

Buffalo is the rainiest place in the country.
