Wife and I spend more than $700 a month on groceries/restaurants/bars, but otherwise we're pretty in line with what you listed.

The rent/mortgage line? You can't rent anything of that size for $885 that I've seen. I assume it's mortgage given other expenses. Nice payment! Utilities seem low too, must have a good energy efficient home. Looks to me like you are managing well, congrats. We go through our budget all the time trying to figure out what to cut, but it's tough unless you want to hole up in your house, eat rice and beans and sew your own clothes. No thanks. Try adding three kids to the mix and that blows the budget right out of the water LOL if it were me, I'd do my own yard work and save that $70. And shop at Trader Joes (not frozen section) cook with fresh ingredients to save $ on groceries. I spend about $150/week with a few bottles of wine for family of 4. We don't eat out during the week and I pack the kids lunches.

Yes, our electric bill for a ~2400 square foot house was $57 last month. I expect that to be $257 in June.

Maybe I have to adjust that a little. We both work and are never at home. Even during the weekend, we like doing outdoorsy stuff until Sunday afternoon, after which we do the normal chores. Yes, we have invested $5K in energy efficient upgrades and bought a north/south house so the sun is never throwing direct light, but still get a lot of natural light due to high ceilings. Also, it is a 2 story 2300SF house, so our living area at any point of time is just about 1200 Sq ft.

I have a separate line for Property Taxes. so yes, $885 is just Principal+Interest.
