Default Avery Ranch Schools

I'm after some advive on schools in the Avery Ranch area - does anyone have knowledge of the Elementary & Middle schools there? (we're looking on the east side of Parmer Lane).

It seems Forest North is the local Elementary, but it's 4 miles away!

RRISD is building a new elementary in Avery Ranch...not sure when it opens but the info is on their website. Make sure the house you're looking at IS in RRISD. LISD extends into Avery Ranch on the east side of Parmer and sometimes the real estate agent gets it wrong.

If you're looking at that area of Avery Ranch, you might want to check out Sendero Springs and Mayfield Ranch. These are both very nice subdivisions just north of Avery Ranch and should have rentals in the size and price range that you're looking for. I'm pretty sure if you just search for leases on austinhomesearch.com and put in Round rock along with the subdivision names, they'll come up. I'm not sure about distance to schools though. That might be a downfall.

Both have close access to 1431 to help with your commute though, however, I would think that Avery Ranch would already be pushing it for commuting to Manor. Your commute would be a lot easier if you chose to rent in an area like Forest Creek on the other side of Round Rock. A couple of people on the forum live in that area and it's really nice. It has a lot of Dell executive types along with close access to schools, HEB Plus, Dell Diamond, etc.

Patsy Sommers Elementary School is opening in Avery Ranch this fall. It's in the Round Rock district.
