and, again, these questions have not been a problem for me on other forums. Just this one.
By sheer numbers, maybe. By percentage of population, no.

Plain and simple, your question has been asked and answered 100 times at least. SW Austin, Eanes, Hyde Park, etc. all good options some you only care about spending $600K and schools.

You'll run into this more than just on the board, we're sick of people moving here.

Try to stem the tide. Or at the very least get people to look at options that won't create a crap ton more traffic.

I just came here to argue about Waller Creek and BBQ.

Most people have a lot more wants than that. Since this is your only want, then it's easy.

Go to Austin real estate | Homes for Sale Austin | Austin Homes | Austin real estate | Homes for Sale Austin | Austin Homes and type in Eanes Isd, TX (School District) in the search location field. That will show you all the listings that feed into Eanes ISD.

That may be all it is to you. However, the description is "relocation, moving, local city discussions".

Before you arrive here, or anywhere in Texas, let me introduce you to one of our quaint sayings: "You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar". Those of us already here aren't looking to catch flies, but you are. More honey. Less vinegar.

4) If commute was important, I would have listed that as well.
5) If I needed something more specific than "top public schools" I would have listed it
6) If I had a need to keep chickens, horses, or had an odd hobby that required special accommodations, I would have listed it.
7) If I had special entertainment needs, I would have listed that as well.
8) if the neighborhood was that important, I would have listed it. School quality was the focus of my search.
9) These questions are not as important as what I had asked for in my OP. If I needed to be close to a specific location, I would have listed it. If I needed a short commute, I would have said that, and it would would also be repeating my answer from #4. Same with entertainment in question #7.
Just because you didn't say house size was important doesn't tell us that it doesn't matter or not. Lots of people come here and say "where should I live if I want great public schools?" Later we learn their budget is $150K, and they need a 20 minute commute or less and they want to live in a liberal neighborhood.

Same with all the other questions you didn't answer. It would have been simple if you said "the only thing that matters is top public schools with a budget of $600K." Since commute doesn't matter you didn't need to tell us where the job would be, correct?

As for the response you get in Houston or other forums....maybe the people in those cities aren't yet tired of people moving there.
