There is also a Central Market there, Whole Foods nearby, and Barton Creek Mall. The most "Beverly hills" area around there would be Barton Creek with it's resort and golf course.

I'm sorry but I don't know where King William is.

You'll be a lot happier if you stop generalizing about the places you live and expecting them to be like the place you left. You're in Texas now. Learn to appreciate the reasons you moved here rather than idealizing the dump you left.

I also like Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom. I'm looking for a 1 bedroom apartment. I'm in the medical field so I would be commuting to a medical center area.
Thanks
King William is in downtown San Antonio. On the South Side. Exactly what you describe as the ghetto area.

No disrespect, but you know little of what you speak.

Why leave San Antonio if your family is there?
You say you like "Stone Oak/ Alamo Heights/ Shavano Park/ The Dominion",
Why not just stay there?

I think you would be so much happier in Dallas. It sounds right up your alley.

She said she didn't want to be that far from her family.
Her family lives in San Antonio.

Didn't read the entire thread, but based on your first few posts, Austin is not right for you. I think you'd be unhappy here, too. I would suggest Houston over Austin based on the lifestyle you're looking for.

There is no "Beverly Hills" in Austin, if you must stay in Texas- Dallas is the best fit.

Dallas and Houston were already suggested. Many times. She said she has family in SA--so she doesn't want to move as far as Dallas or Houston.

Not yet for sure, but with the new crowd moving in, it won't be surprising to see us end up that way.
