Default CA vs TX

How much do RN's make per hour in Austin?
What is the Property take like since you have no state tax?

I live in CA and make a lot of money but I hate Ca. I want to leave and go somewhere cheaper. I am coming to TX next month to check out Austin and SA.

What are things to do, For a 40 yr old black female that still likes to go out, (not clubs) but be out doors, live music etc. to do there?

I moved from San Diego to TX 18 months ago. I made about $7 more per hour as a new grad there than I made starting out here with 4 years experience (with a BSN). Now I am working PRN and am close to my new grad CA salary Healthcare is really different here. No HMOs and insurance is expensive.

Property tax rates vary from area to area. I think most are between 2.5% and 3.5%.

Not only are the wages a lot lower but ... Texas has no ratio law and is notorious for overloading RN's with high patient loads so ...

Something else to consider.
