Can anyone recommend excellent doctors in any of these specialties in Austin? We seriously have found some of the greatest doctors in each of these areas here in Phoenix, but it's taken us ten years to get to this point. We're hoping it doesn't take that long in Austin!

Thumbs down Carousel DO NOT

Just make sure that your pediatricians are NOT from the Carousel group, run (owned?) by Dr. Glenn Wood. Awful service, rundown places, not-so-professional doctors... You name it. He has offices every where in W Austin, E Austin and Round Rock.

Dr. Glenn Wood mostly sees Medicaid patients, and I agree with Xsloane.

I recommend Renaissance Women's Group for OB/GYN and Wyoming Springs pediatrics.

I live in Round Rock and I go to Dr Baylor (OBGYN) and Treehouse Pediatrics (specifically Dr Addy). The pediatricians at Treehouse use to be part of Wyoming Springs Pediatrics and broke off to open a separate office.

I use to go to Dr Dorsett but switched when I was pregnant with my 2nd child because she stopped doing the OB part. That was 3 years ago so she might be doing it again.

We had a baby just over a year ago, and really like the Women's Renaissance Group. We have been using Austin Regional Clinic for Pediatrics and have been very pleased so far. They have a 24-hour after hours help line staffed by nurses, and their after hours clinic is located near Far West and MoPac. There are a ton of Drs there, so I am sure there are better and worse ones, though.

We love Hill Country Pediatrics at 2222 and River Place Boulevard. I've never had a problem getting a same day appointment, never feel rushed - the doctors are fantastic and very proactive.

I didn't know there were different ones? I notice that many deal with diabetes, and I don't need diabetes care.
