Stop battling it, will you :-)
I remember when anything up past Anderson Mill on 183 was "far" north Austin. Cedar Park was such a long drive back in the day of two lanes!

Or the local employment scene along with people migration from CA and north east will keep it going?

Ack another one of these posts. People are still moving here in droves. House prices are not coming down. They continue to increase. End of story!

20% over two years is pretty solid gains, but it's not just the desirable parts of town seeing this appreciation - the "marginal neighborhoods" have risen even faster over the last two years. The median sales price in Dove Springs rose 60% from Winter 2012 to Winter 2014 - ($100K to $160K).

I think we might be seeing another increase in my "marginal neighborhood" as well. I was amazed when the average sale price on my street hit around 200k around Christmas. Even more amazed a few weeks ago when some brave soul two blocks away asked for $265k, but he hasnt gotten it, yet.

This is around 78753 mind you.

Texas is hot. Cities all up and down the I-35 corridor are growing by leaps and bounds and the RE prices are going up along with the population.
