Trustworthy used car dealers?? (Cove: 2014, buying, price)

In same week, wife and I have vision of Jesus in dreams to say we will have twins. She take pregnancy test, positive. But now financial catastrophe coming, minivan at least $30,000.

We go to carmax, they demanded $20,000 for 10-year-old economy car. We said we could just cross street to buy new car for same price. They not speak. We go to Henna, they say they never heard of car less than $20,000. He said he will call me if he finds anything. Never called.

Where to find cheap minivans, reputable?

But you don't need a minivan, necessarily.

If you want a very specific type of car like that (there aren't a huge amount of used minivans floating around) I would use something like cars.com or autotrader to find vans to look at. $20000 is the going rate for a recent lower mileage minivan, although carmax is always the most expensive place to car shop. If you want something in the 10k price range, it will be 8-10 years old for a good one - Toyota or Honda. You could also try craigslist.

On average -- from a dealer -- you'll need to go for a 2010 or older for an Odyssey or Sienna for less than 19K; a few 2011s (without leather and other upgrades) are usually available in the high teens, however. There are plenty 2011s and 2010s, look on Autotrader. 2011 is a redesign year for both which is why there is a price jump.

Now, if you are fine with one of the other american auto makers Town n Country, Caravan Sedona etc. you shouldn't have an issue in that price range. Odysseys and Siennas hold their value extremely well so you're not going to find one 'for cheap.'

If you're only looking for NEW at 20K you are out of luck and need to do some serious research.

To add to this, do not buy one of the old Ford minivans - I know someone who had their spontaneously combust. Seriously. And it worked great until the day the smoke started pouring out of the vents. There is a reason they kept changing names on the Ford minivan and eventually stopped making them.

The Carvan and Town & Country have some of the worst reliability ratings that exist. The Kia Sedona isn't much better. The Nissan Quest is all over the place. That's why Toyota and Honda have the market cornered. The only alternative is either a SUV or the somewhat smaller Mazda 6.

Im seeing a couple 2014 siennas for 25K on craigslist.

also look at edmunds they will list the "invoice price". You should look to pay a few hundred over invoice price.
Toyota siennas are a bit less in demand than the hondas.

Send in your request by email to dealers' internet divisions and have them give you a quote. Work them against each other. You can also look up their inventory on their website

We bought my wifes lexus in california and drove it back. Took a nice vacation to the inlaws and saved about 3K on the lowest price I could find in texas.

Opinions vary for sure. Some would lie and others would testify to it.

We buy used. We have gone to Covert, Nyle Maxwell and Mac Haik. We always buy the warranty. When buying used you have to know there is no guarantee without the warranty.

There is nothing wrong with the Dodge Caravan in my opinion.

I wouldn't purchase a Toyota or a Honda ever.

Keep on the lookout for a recent hail-damage vehicle. A mini-van could have $5K in hail damage and be sold at a 'loss' by an owner who doesn't care to fix it.

I will agree with one above post...a vision of twins does not necessarily indicate the need for a mini-van
