What is the best school district in the Austin area for kids with hearing loss and speech issues. Many thanks in advance!

Depending on the severity of the hearing loss, the Texas School for the Deaf is right here in Austin. Otherwise, I hear good things about Leander ISD for kids with special needs.

Texas School for the Deaf is located near the Hyde Park area. Our son was born with microtia on both ears. He hears fine with hearing aids. We plan on him attending Leander ISD once his condition is surgically corrected.

No. Texas School for the Blind is near Hyde Park, Texas School for the Deaf is just south of the river, bordering S. Congress on the east, and South First on the west. Go Rangers!
