I havent seen anyone at work wear cowboy boots since 1988. But this is Austin so a man wearing a dress and a rubber boot on his head would not be out of place so knock yourself out.

I have a pair of sea turtle boots I wear ever so often. They are dressy, and I have to pick the crowd.

Yes. I'm a doctor, wear them at the office everyday-- connotes honesty and confidence in the eyes of others upon the wearer.

I wear them to work about twice a week. A lot of the other guys do as well.

I've known a couple of guys who wear them non-stop. Usually among older guys than younger. Knock yourself out. Most of the dress codes around here are along the lines of "Don't be naked."

I just started commuting to Austin for work recently and was shocked at the dress shirt, too short tie, torn jeans, and chanclas combo ... in a professional setting. Chanclas on a grown man gives me the sads.

I saw another executive wearing flannel pajamas, top and bottom with boat shoes ... I really thought it must've been some sort of "wear your crappiest outfit to work day" or something.

Our pediatrician and his PA wear jeans and cowboy boots to the office. I'm not a Native Texan and I find it quite endearing.

Could be just my experience, but working in legal settings like big law firms and corporations, I don't see it that often at all. Maybe more prevalent if you're working at the court, the AG's office, etc.

The OP said he was in advertising. That's the definition of anything goes. Legal settings are a totally different story.
