Interesting that Fredericksburg is the #10 best southern small town. The #1 spot goes to Natchitoches, LA, where I went to high school and I believe it, it is actually older than New Orleans and very charming. Good to see that an Austin metro town represented:

My family visited Fredericksburg for the first time this spring. Their downtown is charming and Wildseed Farms is lovely.

I'm really surprised Boerne didn't make the list, they are usually extremely high on these lists, the last one I saw they were top 3.

Um, no, it is an emphatic 'yes, sir!' still used in normal German language, albeit maybe a bit dated. Also still used in the German military as the standard greeting to a superior officer.

I would never consider it "Austin metro" but yeah, cute place.
