We just moved to Cedar Park, and were looking for a new church. Do any of the area Catholic churches have involved teen/youth programs?

Well, I'm not Catholic and I don't have any kids; but I reckon these nice folks could help you:
St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church | Austin, TX
Youth Ministry MS and HS | St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church | Austin, TX

Depending where in CP you live, St. Thomas More on 620 might be a good option. It's a huge parish with a great life teen program. St. Margaret Mary is on New Hope in CP and has a very different "feel" to me. I like them both for different reasons, so you might want to check them both out.

Mrs. ScoPro has been a member of that parish for 15 years.

She is a teacher assistant for their religious education classes. It's quite a big program.

We went to St. Margaret Mary last week, and St. Vincent this week. I liked them both, but we actually talked to people at St. Vincent, so that was nice. (Not a dis on Margaret Mary. We just didn't talk to anyone.) Down side to St. Vincent is that my daughter has as a hearing loss, and wears a hearing aid. The priest had a very heavy accent, so she did not understand anything.

We will try St. Thomas next week. I know it's not just about going to church on Sunday though, so I'm trying to get a feel for the community as a whole. Our previous church had a lot of kids, and a fairly large teen program, but they were not very inclusive, so my teen did not enjoy it at all. It actually put a very bad taste in her mouth for the Catholic Church, which I'm hoping a friendlier church will help replace.

Thanks for the input!

If I listened very closely and intently I could understand him better, but my daughter kept asking, "Mom, what is he saying?" So I would loose my concentration, and loose the context, and I'd be lost for the next few sentences. Just to repeat the cycle.

There are a couple like that at STM as well. When my son had his First Reconciliation, he came out looking completely bewildered because he couldn't understand the priest. I had him say a couple of prayers and called it a night.
