I'll throw out that parking a couple miles away and biking in is by far the best way to get there in my opinion.

Thanks for the replies! Good news, I got the time-off approved!!!!

I'm thinking I'll hop on the 803 and either get off and get on the shuttle, or get off at the 803 stop close to the park. I'm getting excited for the show! :-)

Has anyone used uber before ( after acl)? I just wonder how much of a demand will be put on the uber system and finding a ride along with thousands of other people . I've had times where we went to a festival in other cities and could not find a taxi or uber for an hour due to so many people using it after the fest

Good point! Plus, with their surge pricing at certain times, I'd be careful of using uber and to get a fare estimate first. I'm gonna play it safe and stick to the bus or metro rail.

Everyone new to Uber got a $25 credit with their ACL wristbands! Demand will be crazy high. There were so many horror stories last year -- both from patrons and from drivers. Thankfully, we are close enough to bike.

^^ Agreed! Luckily for me, I've only used Uber outside of the crazy-busy times (knock on wood). When Uber has their surge pricing, I think a Yellow Cab/Lone Star taxi could for once be a better deal (maybe?). But, this is probably a good time to take the metro rail or bus, if it's near where you live. Slower, yes, but no financial horror stories to deal with (i.e. taking an uber to N Austin and getting a big bill from it).

But, let's have fun there, everyone!

I didn't go last year, but I noticed their menu said wine was available by the glass or bottle. I think this year I'll go with wine, beer bloats me too much.

Yay! UPS delivered my two tickets (i.e. wristbands). A+ to UPS/Stubhub for getting them to me overnight at a fairly reasonable rate ahead of schedule, a C grade to UPS for leaving the small and light envelope on the doorstep of my apt in plain view of anyone who wanted to swoop in and steal it. (Sigh). It would have been more consumer-friendly if they left valuable tickets at the front office; But, this is the harried, fast-paced corporate era we live in. BUT, things worked out, so I don't want to be negative. I'm looking forward to the show on Friday!

They also serve wine, but it's laughably overpriced. If your goal is to feel the effects of alcohol, you're better off sneaking in a plastic flask like everyone else.
