A house is being remodeled behind us, and the contractor is opting to use a generator rather than the building's electric service to run their power tools. This means I get to listen to a generator 10 hours a day, six days a week!

Does anyone know if Austin has any code regarding generator use/times? And could there possibly be a cost benefit to running a gas generator vs. existing electrical service?

Here are the Austin Noise Ordinances. I suggest reading them to find if there if this situation is covered. There is quite a lot here.
