Have you considered Highland Horizon? Great homes for sale under $500k and right on 45.

As I mentioned back in post #3...looks like one re-sale fits; but the new homes barely squeeze in there.

Highland Horizon is zoned for Round Rock High School, which I'm not really keen on and which is rated lower than McNeil, where we are currently zoned. Although, I suppose there's likelihood if they ever build the new HS they have land for next to Elsa England, it could get zoned for that. The 2011 resale house in HH that's on the MLS for $490k right now looks fantastic, except for the school track.

Well, judging by your experience with Pond Springs (which is rated a 9), ratings can be taken with a grain of salt. It all comes down to how your kid fits and the school culture. There is absolutely nothing wrong with RRHS or tracks that feed into it.

My understanding is the new HS #6 is happening. You could also try to transfer to McNeil HS - take McNeil the 'back way' right to the high school.
